Dissent is the contradiction of views, and it is this polarity that tills the breeding ground for a better understanding of our problems, largely. If no one challenges, questions and/or keeps the authorities on its toes, then it would lead to a state which has a full consensus and a democratic state with a consensus is not democratic in its entirety. Dissent has existed since time immemorial and has been an integral part of society for its development. For every idea ever thought of; there existed an array of people who didn’t conform to it and those nonconformists and their voices should be heard as it enriches the idea and also helps in rectifying flaws if any.
