Dissent is the contradiction of views, and it is this polarity that tills the breeding ground for a better understanding of our problems, largely. If no one challenges, questions and/or keeps the authorities on its toes, then it would lead to a state which has a full consensus and a democratic state with a consensus is not democratic in its entirety.
